Awesome Catch This Month

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
Hey Shark meat on the BBQ is tasty.. if it's a MAKO.. even tastier..

definately not a mako and everyone who flamed this guy for posting a pic of a dead shark should just not have posted. Theres no reason to attack someone for killing a shark for use of the whole thing. If you want to attack shark killers go to asia and get on one of their commercial finning boats that catches fins and releases the finned sharks to die. His shark looks like a common thresher that does breed at a fairly high rate so him removing one or another fisherman removing one does about as much damage to the wild population as the fish in your tank being removed from the wild did. Anyone who flames people on the fishing forum for keeping a fish is a hypocrite just because we aren't keeping the fish alive doesn't mean we are doing more ecological damage than the fish being kept in our aquariums. (end rant)

Nice catch. I love shark fishing and would love to hook a thresher!

Ummm, this is the fishing part of the forum.

Awesome catch!!! I love shark, have caught many and killed many. As a fishing guide in Alaska we have several clients who love to catch the salmon shark and I recently went surf fishing out of Galveston and ate up a bunch of the sharks down there. Guess I'm going to hell.

Give the guy a break, he's happy and I'm happy for him. As long as it's legal and not wasted I'm cool with it.

Fishing is like porn. Fun to watch, better to be the star, and some people will always be disgusted by it.
:ROFL::ROFL::ROFL::ROFL:But thats true

If you're going to continue the abuse of capital letters, don't reply. There isn't any need to take sharks. Farmed fish is cheap and sustainable. Sharks are declining in numbers throughout the world. You can enjoy fishing, enjoy eating fish, and keep an eye toward conservation. Also, you just used 30% of the worlds remaining capital letters. Save some for the rest of us.
TO F'IN BAD IM GONNA KEEP WRITING IN CAPS BECAUSE EVERY TIME SOME1 WANTS TO WHINE N CRY ABOUT SOMTHING ISAID ALL THEY CAN DO IS TELL ME TO STOP USING CAPS, FURTHERMORE FARMED FISH SUCK ITS NOT AS HEALTHY FOR YOU N ITS LIMITED TO 3OR4 TYPES OF FISH, BUT YOU PROBLY WOULDNT KNOW THAT CAUSE YOU STUFF YOU FACE WITH MCDONALDS AND GARBAGE ALL DAY. NO KIDDING SHARK NUMBERS ARE DECLINING BUT ITS NOT BECAUSE JOE SHMOE KEEPT A SHARK OR 2 EVRY YEAR IT BECAUSE LARGE FLEETS OF SHIPS GO OUT N KILL EVRY THING IN SITE, PARTICULARLY THE JAPANESSE FOR THE FINS.

Looks like a Alopias vulpinus. Seeing dead sharks makes me sad.

Agreed don't know why people kill these animals with no intention of doing doing anything with it(not saying you don't). Next time you should release the shark if you catch one.
