Have you got any dither fish with them? I’m by no means an expert but something else taking up some of that huge realestate might help them get comfortable?
yeah I’ve added a school of silver dollars and a school of uaru recently they are slowly getting more outgoing the sheet over the back of the tank helped most having the peninsula set up the tanks pretty open.

Very nice, with that much room theyll explode in size within a month or two. Ive had one since 2" that I got 8 weeks ago, hes now pushing 7". Theyll fill out the space in no time if you feed them and keep the water pristine

If they grow anywhere close to how your bass are I’ll be very happy. There currently addicted to hikari food sticks they won’t eat anything else. It’s really hard to get a photo with the sun on there tank at the moment but they are packing on some size now.

Yours are looking amazing. What size are they? And what have you been feeding?
Mine are between 15 - 22cm. They are growing at a cracking pace, and are easily outgrowing the Xingus they are being kept with.

I'm feeding lots of whole white bait with a morning feed of a mixture of pellets - Ottohime, Ocean Free and Hikari Food Sticks.

That’s awesome, how long have you had yours? I’ve heard white bait really gets them growing.

They’ve grown from 6-7cm to this size in 10-11weeks weeks so about 1cm a week as crazy as that may sound. Having said that they’ve been in a 8x3 most of that time and have being fed copious amounts of food. I’ve had a group of 10 bass the whole time and a school of 10x tiger silver dollars as dithers, I think this is important with young bass as it makes them feel secure and creates competition at the dinner table.

Yep, whitebait is just the frozen blocks from a seafood place. 1kg costs me about $12.

Small update a couple are really packing on some size hard to get a good photo without a background. There patterns definitely change all the time depending on mood. A few snaps of the life support system as well. 25DAD30A-0A29-4151-9BFD-996696D22D7E.jpeg0717BA16-A5F0-4BA0-BA0F-02856BD165D7.jpegD8C332B1-CDA6-4D5B-91D7-545F8DBB964D.jpegF6383366-53F9-4EAC-A4E1-80C2D5484299.jpegCE79CA8A-E8E6-4697-B7A2-111C1300AC97.jpegE1E948AA-5EBE-4962-B805-90DF6435369C.jpeg
