I'm not sure what the badrev eats as for the arowana the are eating crushed pellets, freeze dried blood worms and freeze dried mysis shrimp.

Where did you pick these up brian?

Got'em at the beginning of June from Rich at Infinite Aquatics, had them shipped in.

Much like the black that you had, the poor fish was stressed enough to leave its conditions and flee its tank- if you had cared in the slightest,you at least would have had the tank cover secured, so you could poisin the poor fish in its own filth- one way or another that fish didnt stand a chance with you around- If you had cleaned the arowana water that day instead of telling everyone on MFK that you know more than them- or maybe if you secured the lid instead of taking shots at someone who tried to help you on MFK, maybe, just maybe you wouldnt have killed it- Especially, for some reason you feel like the arowana whisperer it should have been obvious that you were clearly killing this fish- its obvious and clear especially when you had the fish for a few months-
Please dont take anymore shots at me-I was just trying to help- you dont need to get on your soapbox and preach the differences of our fish and situations- You just need to hide behind your laptop too feel like a man- and Im sure a couple of the kids under the age of 13 on MFK think that you are- but I dont and I dont want you as a penpal -Thanks

Experimented with a couple of things, one result was good the other was not so good.

First of I have removed most all the floating plants in the co-hab tank. Also I now only feed at one end of the tank, instead of feeding each separately. This has made them into more of a pair, they now swim together and eat together. The outlook on keeping these two as a pair is good.

Because of the success above I decided to try and add a third to the mix. This went well through out the evening last night, but this morning the new aro had shown signs of getting beat on through the night. He has now been moved back to the divided 55g.

On a side note, the 450g is now filled and running, should be transferring fish throughout the week

When you turn off the lights at night time, is it pitch black in the room/aquarium, or is there a little light? I notice Aro's tend to be more aggressive when they are in pitch black. You could try using a low illumination blue LED night light at night time and see if it reduces aggression.
