Baby Laps

Well I thought I was buying Teugelsi and got Laps. Can't really complain though! A lot of this has been posted in another thread I have but I thought I would make one to update on the growth of my little guys as time progresses. There's 2 and it sounds like one is a lapxendli hybrid from what some members on here have told me. He's a little shyer and has the tail bite.

Both looks awesome, but im more looking forward with the lapxendli, dont see those to often.

Tail will grow back, clean water and alittle salt should help.

Perfect. Tank is already running a little salty for the mollies. Seems like they breed better that way. Debating swapping in one of my smaller power filters so I could run some carbon and bio media in the tank but haven't decided for sure yet because it might suck up the molly fry

For sure. Update is on both. I suspect more of these laps will be available to the general public. Most likely a byproduct from Indonesia.

These ones supposedly came from segrest. I had the store check their order sheet. The one was definitely labeled a Teugelsi on the order and they sent 2, they have another just like it that I suspect is the same CB Lap variant. The hybrid was sent in place of an ornate they ordered, apparently the ornate got zeroed in their order and it was sent as "Bichir sp. Endli" but the kid unboxing the order missed that and just tossed him in with the senegals they had thinking it was the same since he was so washed out.

It's going to be really interesting seeing these two grow out. I love the pattern on the one with spots going down its side

Quick update since I managed to get pics of both of them today. Both seem to be doing well. Eating chopped shrimp and bloodworms. Might be eating some sinking pellets too but it's hard to say if they are eating them or my mollies. Both are coloring up really well and I've already noticed some healing in the nipped tail on the hybrid.
