Baby Laps

Definitely eating the pellets!! Caught in the act tonight, munching down on sinking shrimp pellets. The hikari sinking carnivore was a little too big but this looks like it's a good size for now and still has 36% protein. So so far so good. Added a small panda garra to the growout tank to help clean up since these guys can make a mess out of anything but other than that everything seems stable. But enough talk here's some pellet munching proof.

Aaah, that awesome sigh of relief when they finally eat :). Very happy for you!

Looking forward to seeing them get thick.

Well the pure Lap didn't make it. He stopped eating a couple of days ago and just sort of withered away. Of course he did that right after I posted pictures of him eating too. Not sure what happened. The other one is still fat and growing for now but I'll be paying extra close attention to his feedings from now on.

Oh no! I'm sorry. I wonder if he had some kind of illness or parasite. That one in particular just looked so scrawny. Poor little guy. :(

IP is all I can think of. He had a big appetite but never seemed to gain any weight. I didn't run any parasite treatments with them when I got them either because of their size.

Yep. Already did. I think the hybrid is robust enough for his size to be okay but I'm sure I'll lose most of the baby feeder mollies but we'll see. They're surprisingly resilient.
