I *think* clove polyps and encrusting polyps/anthelia are one in the same. They will, with good water conditions, spread like a weed.

So isolate that rock unless you are ok with them spreading.

Ya. Island them...Then when they try and spread off the rock you can pry up the edge with a razor blade, and then just pull it off the rock.

How is yours growing that I sent you heathd?

The GSP is just now starting to spread across the backwall. It initially didnt like the high flow, but has since gotten used to it.

Oh eventually it will love the flow ha ha. Mine is in an area which used to be covered with hairy green shrooms...they are shrunk so small now you can barely see them...the starburst however is going crazy. :D

A couple more additions. I also added in a pick of my colony of clove polyps. I've only had these guys for a couple of weeks and they have coated the piece of LR that they are on.

It's been a little while since I've added to this thread. No new pics, as of yet. After spending the last little bit feeling strapped for space in the 30 I went out and purchased a new 75g with a stand last week. Once I get some pics together I'll post them. It's rather empty at the moment, but it will fill over time.
I rewarded myself to celebrate the purchase of the new tank and bought a copperband. Probably one of my more favorite fish appearance wise. It seems a little skittish, hopefully he'll take to the same array of food everyone else in the tank eats. Anyone have experience with these guys?

Nice, bigger tank will definitely open up your options of what you can keep.

The copperbands are picky eaters and don't do well with other aggressive eaters. Hopefully yours takes to eating right away. If not, try a lot of different foods and hope it takes something to stay healthy.

I've got a mix of food that seems to work for the rest of tank. Frozen Mysis and chopped Krill. Some flake and small pellets. I'm considering getting one of those do it yourself shrimp hatchery deals and seeing if it'll prefer something live to eat.

Although I dont really think that brine shrimp are anything nutritionally, I am interested in setting one of these things up in my sump as well.

Got around to taking some pics off the camera today. Next step for me is a good light 48" 2x 250W MH w/Actinic and moon LED's. Should be ordering this in a couple of weeks. Then a new skimmer. Possibly a AquaC Remora. Hear lots of good things about this skimmer. Other than it makes a crap load of noise.
Newly filled tank
