Bacteria affecting new rays

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
Lemme know. When I got some I got enough to treat 5.6K gallons. I don't think I'll use more than 1 20oz bottle..... So if you get into a situation where you need some I'll just send you my other bottle and order some more. The stuff was less than $20 a bottle. I don't know how much water you need to treat.... If it's just a tank maybe I should just measure some out and send it.

Keep us updated, and lemme know if you want to attempt to send it.

Thanks alot I really apreciate the help. I'll treat with this for awhile and see. I've got a 300 gallon to treat and with furan-2 it'll cost me 140. Binox is a way better deal. :)

I could maybe get someone to send it up here but seeing that the online fish stores won't do it I wouldn't ask anyone else too. I started treating with furan-2 so hopefully it works and doesn't kill my tank. I'll let everyone know my results. thanks db

i need serious details on the ray..... furan 2 was used on some rays i had but they died... now my notes are incomplete cause when the furan2 went in they were extremally bad so i dont know if they were to far gone and or if furan 2 is flat out not ray safe..... please please i need details...

You only need to dose twice according to instructions. I have no problem sparing 600 gallons worth of meds.....

Get with Mike (H20) and see what he thinks.... If you should run your meds or stop and begin running Binox.

Let me know ASAP what he says. I can ship it out tomorrow if need be.... Just give the word and an addy and we'll get it taken care of.

Hurry up and get with Mike.......

Sounds like you NEED the Binox now.......

Don't put it off........

Here's a pic of the rays which really doesn't show the extent. I did a search for safe meds on here and got a link to a german site with a list of safe meds and furan 2 was listed as ok. I seen your post nic and that's wat made me think twice. For me to get anything up from the states allways takes 3 days even if they say overnight. 2 of the rays dont look to bad and one has been rubbing on the acrylic tank walls and coming out of the water and rubbing on he acrylic tank top. The white areas are turning red on this one. Have been treating for a weak at 4lbs/100gal of salt and 90 temp. They have been eating but it is about 1/2 of what they ate at the beggining of the week. Started furan 2 at 1/2dose last night and the ray that was climbing the walls has almost stopped and there eating the same as yesterday. Dropped temp to 88 also and has seemed to relax there breathing. Had my 2 fluval fx5's and 2 ehiem pro's with spraybars above the water line to increase oxygen the whole time.Let me know what other details I can give you nic and thanks for the help guys.
