theyre still gunna lose em no matter what.

people just dont listen. there are a grip of threads like this and people still dont hed the words COVER YOUR FRIGGIN TANK!

Del, you have such a way with words ya darn grump! The point here is that many people DO cover, weight, tie, strap, and handcuff our Aro's. Try optimism. I think determining exactly how much weight is an excellent idea. My 18"er displaced a lid with four huge bricks, got out, and the lids were still in place. Don't kick 'em when they're down. There was a time when you were new to Aro keeping yourself? I would have confidently felt it was impossible for my Aro to do what he did. So I say help everyone out with good ideas instead of calling them idiots.

It happened to me many years ago and i keep preaching to everyone please weigh your tank down and cover all openings... i am sorry you had to join the arowana lost club..

that's funny meiling, the last time mine got out, the plastic panels and weights didn't come off either..he just moved them out of the way for a second and slid right out onto the floor...long way down, it's a wonder he didn't break his back when he hit...must be the soft carpet saved him....

This is great..maybe we should put your tank in bright lights and advertise because this is what we need to do to protect these guys..

fairly inexpensive fix too...it was like 30.00 at the depot for all that good stuff....
