Makes the most sense to me.
I think I will try out an XP3... best bang for the buck so far.
Problem with the Xp3s is that they have not been around for too long.

I like my fluval 404. $85 on ebay, free shipping. Best deal for that size can IMO.

Where is this free shipping you speak of? The cheapest I can get on ebay is about 110$ Canadian with shipping included.

For the price i would go with the rena xp3. I have been running one now for over 2 years and stiil works great. For best performance i would say fx5.

fluval 404 for me, parts are also cheaper to replace than both rena & eheim incase something breaks.

I've got rena xp2, xp3, cascade 1000, 1200, 1500. I very much prefer my cascades.
