best is to grow them up. I had 4 oscars in my 125 and they all got along just fine. They where not full size though.

agree 100%, starting with the small group to get a breeding pair is great idea and O's for the most part are really laid back, who knows you may get a group that gets along really well and you may be able to keep 4 without aggression but i think the tank would look awesome if you grew them up to get a pair, and put in some nice severums to get to pair up as well, the two pairs in that tank should get along just fine and would be great colors and laid back personalities, and if your up for ordering online you can find some great severum variants. some efasciatus variants are just breathtaking IMOjworth;4138750; said:you can keep many different varities of fish with oscars... countless number of other cichlids and catfish, rays, predators, etc... the possibilities are endless. your complaint was getting the right food to each fish and that is not an issue. most fish are omnivores and will eat anything without suffering adverse effects. oscars are nice fish but I dont want you to think that you are limited in your selection especially with a tank that size. there are just so many options to keep with oscars...
