I almost did not go to the lfs because i really do not need or have the room for any more fish when i came along these guys. i been looking for Belonesox belizanus ever since i joined mfk. So anyway the lfs had a tank full of these guys. It took all my will power not to buy these guys. I am going to get a pair. So i will be clearing space for this guys , my question is whats the min. size tank and what have you guys used as tankmates. Can any of you guys tell me about your experience with this fish , such as tank setup, tankmate, plants , etc
 
I've got what I was told is a female growing out in a 25. IME it's been a breeze to take care of. It's eating flakes LOL.
 
I hadn't heard of them eating flakes either...was this something it just did, or did it have to be weaned off from live food
 
I just fed flakes one day and it started eating them. I was thrilled because I hate the hassle of live food. Maybe I should get some pix of it swimming around with flakes hanging out of it's mouth! LOL.
 
That is pretty cool you got them to eat flakes like that, I'll send you some Monocirrhus polyacanthus for you to get to eat flakes for me
 
I've never had a fish that I couldn't get onto dead food.
 
Right now it's in a 25 with some Geo. Steindacheri. It's pretty small and inactive still. (Eats very well though).
