best bichir for a 55 gallon tank

compared to the delhezi bichir not alot of color for the senagalus.
 
they usually max around 1 ft yea but bigger ones have been reported. hao has a sen that is 1 ft. an ive had one that maxed at 9 inches. ive never kept the dehlezi as they are not available in my area.
 
Hmm i wonder if ill have any troubles getting a delhezi b/c im located in NY. Would it be possible to do a senegal and a delhezi with a few silver dollars. or would that be too much for the tank. also i have one last question my buddy breeds guppies like it's his job lol and is always looking for ways to get rid of them and i know for a fact these fish are healthy. would it be a good idea to feed them to my bichir or are these fish apt to be unhealthy from eating guppies b/c if they are i wont feed them that
 
silver dollars get big. yea u could go with a group of bichirs an yea guppies with bichirs are good cause if its alot of plants they could get established an breed so u like never have to feed them but thats rare to get that. i have a small pile in my 37 gallon 3 bichirs. so maybe u could get away with 5 but that would be pushin it.

I think a sen,del,and some SD would work. You'll need a lot of filtration.

Guppies would be fine IMO.
 
that was my opinion tho about no silver dollars. but since i like bichirs more lol i would do a group of bichirs if that is what you want just bichirs go with half an half 2 sens an 2 delhezi's
