Best color cichlid?

Blue and green are my favorite colors so they tend to not make the list. reds and oranges tend to stick out more. So my favorites are

My Texa has nice blue spangles with a yellow/gold background. He is bigger now.


My HRP's colors are starting to show. Camera never captures there sheen. Google for better images


For those that like the yellow's and reds. I think a red spot severum is hard to beat.

Africans do have the brightest colors but they have no pattern they are all the same. Male peacocks are nice looking though.

In my opinion this nic wins it (if it were a contest )

I would get a bunch of nics if I could find them this color but whenever I see them at the LFS they are brown looking
