Best material for a tank divider

I'm trying to separate Midas, flowerhorns and devils.

I only have 1 problem fish at the moment so needing to make more dividers as a just in case

Would this be better than egg crate? it is thicker, and rounded and allows for the flow...

I use both eggcrate and plexiglass with no issues. The only disadvantage in using plexiglass is I had to use 2 filtration systems.
