best native fish for 75 gallon tank

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
I agree with Longears and would add that Dollars and some of the bigger madtoms (stonecats and checkered madtoms) would be good for a 75. Or you could even go wth some of the larger darters and Topminnows in a tank.

i do want a brown bullhead! thats a positive yes! but for another fish i was thinking mabey a perch or walleye? i need somthing that will eat my leftover (live) shinners i use for bait.

Yellow perch and brown bullhead.

yea that sounds good mabey a chain pickerel? they seem more native around here. but pickerel arent good with other fish....
Their fine with anything they cant eat. And chain pickerel get about as big as bass, so I would stick to grass or redfin.

You can hand feed a pickerel, be carefull though, if they're big enough they'll even eat a finger. I've only kept grass pickerel, but I think redfins stay smaller. Mine follows me when I wake up and when I get near the tank, so I think they're pretty personable.
