Probably, it would need to be about 6-8in long before it could eat anything that big. Mine eats whole market shrimp and hes 8 1/2in long.
If you want something small that eats huge fish, get a belly crawler pike cichlid. My 6in belly crawler ate my 8in needlenose gar.

They were labled as just "bullheads". I think they got in trouble for it because they sell them as "midnight cats" now.
I'm thinking about buying a couple more, they're only 4.99.dang! i wish i could get some! they dont sell them around here. ill try to catch one or order one off sachs aquaculture.
