Well said Venom SS! They are a tough fish not an obedient dog. All the fish that You are inquiring about Goldenballer are not agamy fish hence they would really enjoy a mate of the same specie. I am curious why you want a solo fish? If I could curb or convince you to get a pair it would be Managuense "Jags". A pair can be active, curious, and happy not bored.... Get what I mean. What ever Monster you chose get a pair unless they are truly a hit and run fish that doesn't require a life mate but even then I would do my best to find a tank mate so they stay busy. Good Luck with your tank!

hey guys i went out and got 3 baby midas , i'm positive that ones a male hopefully one of the others is a female. i also got a baby jag just incase i decide to switch... hes being held in my 55 Gallon , hes still really small about 1.5 inches so he should be okay. how do you know what colour it'll be? mines is yellow-orange with pale/whitish marks on his body... does this mean he'll be orange and white?

As solo glass bangers I have FH, RD and a Trimac Hybrid. They are like dogs with their owner.

I also keep a couple of Jaguars in a comm tank and firmly believe that a Jag solo would also turn into a glass banger ( as would a Dovi, a Umbee, etc )

I voted Midas/Devil, but I own a Jag. Mine has a lot of personality and they look crazy when they flare their gills. I've heard of owners saying they sometimes throw temper tantrums. From dragging heaters around the tank, breaking filter intakes to spitting gravel out of the tank all over being fed food they didn't want lol.

great choice 125 u could ideally have a pair of midas tho

got a midevil ... what's the growth rate for these guys? their around 3inches now how long will it take for them to get to 7+ ?
