A needle nose gar usually gets to 12-14" so he will be fine in a 75 but not with African cichlids. They are to aggressive for the gar

Have you read up on the elephant and whale? I ask because I was very interested in these guys a while back. From what I read the elephant nose needs very fine substrate since they like to root around in it and rocks will cause injuries that can lead to infections.
I have no experience with these guys, but figured Id put this out there.

Yes, I wanted an elephant nose but i had gravel and i was told that they required sand and had to have a school of them as they are a schooling fish... I do however think that the moori should be moved as soon as possible. When it decides it wants to be aggresive you may be at work or something and it can easily kill everything in the tank except for the compressicep, :/

Everything that I've read said the elephant nose should either be kept alone or at least in a group of 4 or more so the biggest would spread it's aggression.
Yeah your right about the moorii. I was hoping to order about 3 or 4 more. The
compressicep is small. I didn't put him in the cichlid tank because he's so peaceful and someone told me he would eventually waste away in there.

I use very smooth rocks. Those 2 are fun to watch. They stay side by side. Both will feed from my hand.

If i was you i would get rid of the gar, compressicep, elephant nose, and baby whale. Then i would just get some clown loaches or something... Or get rid of the gar, compressicep, and get 4 more elephant noses :)

I love my elephant nose and baby whale. They're in a 55g, I don't want to add any more elephant nose. I'll keep the gar at least until it gets too big. I am going to move the moorii....if I can catch that fast little sucker!

ok, keep us/me updated ok? I want to see how well this turns out if i ever want to get some :)
