Ya, i was dissapointed to here about the Koi. Not to be too stereotypical but i think a large predetor tank would be perfect.
To see a pair of HUGE arrowana at the top, then idk what to hover around the bottom. But something definatly monster.

wont they rust too?

That's awesome for the sole sake of where it's at lol

Screw the PITB to clean aspect and the probably going to scratch the tank thing....and the nirate factory thing...It's a man cave and it's just that bada**.

Koi....not so much.

I think they nickle plated them so they dont rust. As far as the scratching, I dont know. It is low in the tank and i dont think it is any worse then rocks.

Brass casings would not corrode as badly as you think and the nickle plating will protect them, however i agree that if you have the money to do that then you should have pluged them and coated them in acrylic. Im on a phone right now so does anyone know what caliber they are? Im thinking 308... But i cant tell if they are not .50 BMG.

acrylic + metal = scratches

It'll be interesting to see how much of a factor this a year from now.

Looks cool though. As long as he's careful while maintaining and doesn't have big fish to move the casings around, the scratching shouldn't be too bad, maybe..

I agree Acrylic + anything = scratches. I love my Acrylic tank but I don't like the scratches, I have tried a couple different cloths and always get scratches.
