I chose BGK but am new to them both (only had my BGK a little over a monrh)
so went with the smaller one. Also love the look of BGK's. (Someday
I will get a clown too).
That is so awesome that you got one! They are great and so graceful though very shy at first. mine is about 8 inches. My bichirs are about 7 inches.

Yeah same here, I'm so glad I finally got one. It seems really shy and seems to like hiding in my plants. I wish it'd come out more and eat with the others but then again it is the first day.

I'll post a pic when when I get a chance.

BGK are much more attractive to me, but clowns definitely have appeal in other areas. I love my ghost...my favorite fish, but probably since I've had it for the longest.

unreal. i would like to ask her if she is just ignorant or if she is trying to make a sale. i have a BGK and love him. such a cool fish. ive had a CK before when i was young and irresponsible. i plan on getting another when i'm about a year or so from building my 1000 gallon.

haha you couldn't be more right. I had a guy at one of my LFS telling me it was perfectly fine to keep a silver arowana in a 55 gal FOR LIFE... some people are just too interested in making money. But yeah, good call with the BGK. I would have done the same ;) their is a place by me that has them at about 14 inches for 40$! might get one some day.....

That is just horrible.

Wow.

I would've chewed him out right there, I've been quite the tree-hugger in the past.

I was at a Walmart for sh**s and giggles one time and visited the fish department to see about 15 2" Pacus in what looked like a 5-8 gallon tank. The label read that they only grew up to 10".

I addressed this to the guy on duty and he said "Oh they only grow to the size of the tank they're in."

That kind of set me off a bit and I ended up chewing him out and told him "It's because of people like you that no one knows how to take care of their damned pets!"
