I think I might get 2 senegal bichirs and MAYBE some Ropefish. What else could I have with them? I'm interested in Knife fish, but not sure which one... Any suggestions?

You can keep with the African theme and get an African Brown Knife (Xenomystus Nigri)

ornate polypterus would be an interesting alternative to the senegal but ornates do cost more...check it out on the internet!

I never thought of an African set-up:duh:
That would be really cool! And somewhat limit my options, which, in this case, is a good thing:ROFL:

I used to have 6 Congo Tetras, 2 Senegals, a Leopard Bush Fish, and an African Brown Knife. It was definitely a good set up.

In my opinion, black ghost knife look better.

They will also get too big for a 75g.

I'd stick with the african theme, african knife, ctenopoma, pantadon butterfly.

Ctenopoma .acutirostre-Ctenopoma acutirostre
Ctenopoma oxyrhynchus-Ctenopoma oxyrhynchus
Ctenopoma kingsleyae-Ctenopoma kingsleyae
African butterfly-Pantondon bucholzi
African Knifefish-Xenomystus nigri
Congo tetra-Phenacogrammus interruptus
