Bichir not eating 4 days after eating bloodworms

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
you could do what I do, I put the fillet through a food processor to shred it and any of the bichirs or ropefish can tear off bite sized pieces no matter their size

I’ll consider getting a food processor if cutting the tilapia into tiny bite sizes comes to be too tedious lol thanks for the idea.

I would stick to the every other day feeding with the blood worms. Much easier than dealing with tilapia and getting a food processor.

I've had no problems feeding wild caught bichirs of that size Repashy Bottom Scratcher. Easy to cut size with a pairing knife.

Bloodworms should be more of an occasional treat than a regular poly staple.

As others have mentioned, tilapia and pellets are a better normal routine. Many do catfish once a week or every other week to help things move along but it can be oily so I used to do that the night before I did a WC.
