lol as long as it's 'fun' over time and not 'pulling the leash' over time then you're making the right choice pare.

because of the OT I've been working my fish allowance has gone up, the only brightside lol

That means more bichirs my friend or maybe a big tank for bigger monsters.

As for the lap's head, cleaning off the fleash is harder than I thought. Not as easy as the snakehead's head that I did last summer.

BTW forgot to mention that between the first row and second row, there is actually another row behind the first row. That's makes the spiky teeth for grabbing prey the "third row" or third set. The second set actually are small teeth that replace the bigger teeth when the teeth from the first set fall off. I notice that the second set where the area of the first row of tooth have fallen off is actually bigger than the rest of those that still have teeth in front of them. It indicates that the front teeth that fall of is being replaced by the second set.

Here are some more pics that ame from Kenta's endli. Also a member here.
Here are a couple from an endlicheri that died a few years back

bichirs constantly grow in new teeth like sharks, and they are all curved back to trap their prey

what was the exact method you used? I really wanna preserve the skulls of my bichirs when they die too :D

Freeze the dead fish for 24 hours teh let it submerge on the bleach for 2 days or more. Depends on how long the flesh will rot away. Once that done you can start cleaning the flesh.
