These Fish are like the words Tomato, Potato I say POe TAh Toe you say PoTaeTO both are phoenetically correct in ones eyes so there is NOT one correct pronouciation....MS Sam Says BI Chur others say BEECHUR some say BICKER some say Biker....This is in the sticky.....And his question was what does your LFS say

Most lfs's around here call them bikers. My fave calls them polypterus.

I have hear people around hear pronounce them By chir while others say basheer. The common nice name here is Dinosaur fish.
