Bichirs with tetra algae control

Is it safe to use tetra algae control with bichirs? I have a Senegal and delhezi in a 40 gallon tank with an algae problem. Is it safe to use?

What sorts of algae? Depending on what you're feeding, food may also contribute.

I find a toothbrush and kitchen sponge to be the best options for removing algae
