i wish i had stuff like that in my yard, all i see are opossums, skunks, and coons.
my cousin had a fisher cat come to his neighborhood a few years ago, all the neighborhood cats and small dogs began dissapearing and my cousin was worried his elderly cat would be next (it was about 15 at the time) then one afternoon his cat came home all beat up like it had been in a fight, after that, the neighborhood cats and dogs stopped dissapearing and his cat made a full recovery

fisher cats are nasty. we used to get those at a place i worked at a while in high school. we used to hunt them in the store after hours with the owner haha. we had a coon get stuck in the dumpster one day.

my dog is a beagle/hound mix, which i think is why he has takin a liking to it lol. we have to keep my grandfathers cats locked up so my dog doesnt kill them. he acctually attacked a pitbull puppy about the same age when i was getting his rabies shot done a few years ago he had the pit pinned in about 30 seconds. he a tough little bugger. he might not look big but hes got some decent size to him and hes tough as nails.

the other dogs are a mini pincher/whippet mix and a maltese.

Beagles are terrors. LOL
You ought to watch the video of someone training pits and beagles together... He said to me that the beagles we so hard to obedience train, they care about nothing once they find a good scent.

thats very true. mine is very stubborn. he was a real challenge to get trained. and even now hes not 100% if im walking him he has to be on a harness and a leash. he smells somehting and off he goes. when there are rabbits in my yard he goes nuts. and if im out walking him in the feild its a lost cause. he even worse in the woods. he doesnt know where to go because he smells so much stuff lol.

That depends, are you going to eat the rabbits and squirrels, or cook them for the dog?
Seriously, unless Mike plans on using this dog to hunt, and it's very dangerous for the dog to hunt if he is not 100% trained, I see no reason to.

A dog who is not trained can easily just go off after something and be caught in a nasty snare, or find his way to a road, stray dogs, you name it.

I hear that, Mike... It's like talking to a brick with a nose if they have a small animal's smell. My pit is the same, she is nutty when she sees squirrels or smells them, she'll flop down if she finds a good smell and I try to move her just to keep sniffing it. And she's not even a hound :grinno:
