I've always just thrown my dead fish in the trash, in an extra bag if it's a few days from pickup, but I am curious now. How deep do you have to bury them to not smell them?

I’ve never had a problem with burying them at least 12 inches. As an avid fisherman I’m always bringing home panfish and the heads/guts are the absolute best thing to fertilize tomato plants.
Big dead fish? Little dead fish? Fish guts? Just dump'em into the corner of the field and they'll be gone the next day. I was thinking about working on our JW infestation using this method...but it turns out that a lock on the gate at the bottom of the drive works pretty well...
