I'm happy I'm not the only one. I can't decide if I should see if I STOP being bored of the large tanks, or sell what I have and start from scratch again.

Do you have any smaller tanks running? Maybe switch up what you're doing with one of them instead?

I just switched up half of my 60G over the last 2 weekends and ended up with what i've now dubbed "The Hobbit Hole" scenery... Something i could never do in my fahaka tank...

Sometimes all it takes is doing things a little differently to what you normally do...

No I don't at the moment, maybe I should. Smallest I have is a planted 150g. LOVE the looks of your planted setup there, wow.

There was a time when I had more fun with my 10 gallon planted aquarium than I did with my 225, but I eventually had to take down the 10 gal. Though in that case, I think it was the plants that made it more interesting, rather than the aquarium size... if I could afford to fully furnish the 225 with live plants, the old 10 gallon could not compare. lol

I find additional or the extra fish boring at times the main fish and tank great fun and never boredom. And I have put much more into my large tank vs my smaller tanks and everything is much better and allot nicer. And I have to do far less work on the tank with all the planning that went into my system

Maybe setup a small 20g - 40g tank just to change the scenery up a little...

Nice scape and awesome name for your planted tank.

I don't mind either small or big tanks. If you really love to take care of fish/aquariums in general, maintaining different sized tanks shouldn't become boring. I still have to maintain a 30 gal planted tank in addition to my 160 gal, and no matter what circumstances comes with maintenance, I don't get bored with whatever I do with both of my tanks.

Yeah I thought I was going to be one of those guys that just powers through everything. Buuuut, a 2 year old and a 4 year old, plus a new house, plus the busiest year I've ever had at work... Didn't see my boredom coming!

Maybe thats why you've just noticed you need to update your tank, coz you've been too busy having a good year to notice it was time to update...
