^Good Advice^

I would absolutely report it to a local state wildlife commission. They illegally acquired a potentially invasive species and introduced it to local waters.

Yeah. Purposly STEALING someones potentially dangerous, potentially invasive animals can get them completely screwed over for all sorts of things.

thanks guys, im definitely going to figure something out

theyre NOT getting away unscathed......

any update? are you suing? did you find your turtles?

Hope you find them back!
I know people who wouldn't sue, they'd just dig a big hole and dump their bodies of anyone touching their pets.
I'm not sure as to recommend that.
But the thought must have passed your mind!

Personally I would not sue over this because I just don't have the time - but if you're in school there are definitely ways to make time - teacher's can't drop you from classes because you have court.

Hi,yes I agree with the others, you should make them pay for all problems and harm that the did to you and your turtles.

Small claims court is the appropriate venue for this.

Filing a claim costs probably $20-30. You don't have to have a lawyer or testify in person, per se. Just fill out the forms and explain the situation and how you arrived at what damages you're seeking.

Good luck.
