Biggest Bamboo shrimp ever.

They are filter feeders, so absolutely they will not eat fish. They will only eat from the water column so make sure your tank is established, or they starve to death. I also wanted to breed these cause they'd make awesome feeders, but I heard their babies need salty water.

that sucks :/ sorry

my fish tear the shrimp pellets to pieces and im pretty sure there is plenty of stuff floatin around

Yep, they feed off organisms in the water column, they wont eat from the substrate. Someone said theres escaped in this thread. They do try to get high in the tank to reach the water current, so this is why they may have escaped.

Someone said that if you crush up some algae wafer really good it mgiht work for them but not long, they need a tank with lots of organisms in the water. They are just like clams, they filter feed, and thats why clams die too cause there isnt enough food for them and they starve.

ya if i c another i might get it and try bbs or frozen daphnia or something

Awesome looking. I have a 75gallon waiting for one. I have mine in a 45 for about a year and she ( I think) is pretty cool. But i am going to wait a long time because my tank has only been up for about 2 or 3 months. Can they coexist with each other?

Yes they can exist with eachother. They can exist with other shrimp too, cause they filter feed, they wont compete for food with other shrimp.
