Not me, I love it for the size and look, if I wanted pretty colours I'd keep discus or marines.Keeper of the Ropes;1028014; said:Anyone (I hope yall don't jump on me for sayin this) think it's kind of ugly?

On the topic of huge bichirs, I stumbled across this collection of pics today: http://imageevent.com/codomo/polypterusendlichericongicus
Amazing looking collection, I'm so jealous! Does anyone know who's they are??
i actually like the color/pattern (or lack of) of this congicus a lot. i've always wanted a yellowish congicus with very faint to nonexistent stripes.Keeper of the Ropes;1028014; said:Anyone (I hope yall don't jump on me for sayin this) think it's kind of ugly? Yes, I realize it's absolutely massive and deserves awe and respect solely based on it's size... but how about that coloration (or lack of)? I dno - I know it's a Cong, but the colors just remind me of a drab looking senegal. Do ALL lowerjaw species lose their coloration and stripes when they max out in size?
