I would suggest going to petsmart and buying a new filter. Take the impeller out of the new and get you tank's filter going again.

You then can worry about finding the cheapest price on a new impeller and buying it. Once you receive the new impeller install into the new filter and take it back to PS for a refund,

i do have an extra emperor 280

Use that impeller on your 350.

thats good idea bout buying new one till get impeller and then return it, but so far the two smaller ones i have on there are doing a good job (same amount of media pretty much just slower flow) but yeah so i think im just going to keep them on there until i find cheaper impeller or until i sell the emperor 280, then use that money to get it (though it really goes against all principles to pay 20 frikin dollars for an impeller i mean im sure it doesnt cost that much to make a little metal rod with a plastic spinner and magnet on it, seriously)

fishbum he wasnt saying to steal the impeller just to use it until i went and bought one lol and i guess dwilder suggestion would be kinda stealing lol but i bought it used anyways so wouldnt be able to return it to store anyways, and that was the first thing i looked at they are different impellers, the one for the emperor has some kind of extra plastic piece on it and is longer

It's the same as stealing.Why don't you just go to PetSmart and ask to borrow one for awhile,but promise to bring it back,and see what the say.
You said you had 350,that is a Penguin,not a Emperor.

yeah i know you were saying to use impeller from emperor on my penguin wernt you? but its not the same impeller
