I used to be. Mynah, cockatiels, parrots and budgerigars but no more.:(

Mynahs are unreal talking machines imagine yours spoke a lot. I have never had one but have seen there here in out door cages they imitate birds-cats-dogs humans.

Are they better than African grays as far as talking?

no but i want a sun conure
Very cool birds.
The shop I work at has a green cheek, sun, jenday, and a blue-crowned conure, an Elenora (lesser sulfur crested) cockatoo, and a black headed caique. All of them are cool birds, although the blue-crown doesn't like me for some reason (always screams when I try to get him to step up/put my hand close to him). The Elenora once almost broke my finger when I was restraining him to have his wings clipped. By far the coolest though is the caique. If I had the money, he would have been mine months ago. He has the coolest personality of any bird I've ever met or worked with. Employees at the store have thought about all putting down some money to buy him together and keep him as a permanent store resident

Here are some old photos I scanned of my pet Chukar Partridge "Chuck". He was beat up by the other Chukars so I separated him and he lived with my pigeons. He became very tame and I could let him out of his pen to peck around in the grass without worrying about him flying away. He also became the look out of my pigeons when they were out of their pen. He would make a warning call that my pigeons learned to recognize as a hawk threat and they'd make a hasty retreat pack into the pen.

My mynahs can learn only about 7 words.:screwy: They make a racket imitating the car horns when our car beeps as it approaches our house. I had them for 10 and 8 years respectively. They're gone now.:(

I have some turkey steaks and chicken eggs in the refrigerator:D Does it count?

I love our birds! HEHE! Update on the gold cap he's now steppin up beautifully and a sweetie just very cautious of hands approaching him. I also sold our fancy green cheeked conure "Bubbles" happy for that as well. Sun's are way cool birds but quite loud and require a lot of attention!
