Bird keepers?

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
I have a cockatiel that sings "la cucaracha" and the andy griffith show theme song which cichlaholics hates me for teaching it.

i have a blue/gray budgierigar named Swoop and a Green/yellow named Arrow. wish i could get an aviary.

i don't have any but after i graduate college i plan on living in the florida keys so i'm already designing a HUGE outdoor aviary for all different kinds of macaws and cockatoos, maybe even a toucan or 2 if i can find them

That would be awesome BF!!!!! Careful with aviary kept birds because they might not to be friendly to you unless you constantly interact with em. Due to Macaws notoriety to being biters up to the point of aggression. And id steer clear from toucans ive heard only negatives on keeping them.

i had budgerigars when i was younger...then i just kept fishes coz they are easier to keep........then my 4 year old cousin begged me to keep his pink colored chick coz his 1 year old sister had killed his former pet bird.....now i have a baby pink chicken at my house......

My two galahs - first one is a rescue aged about two years old. Quite tame but has a few anxiety issues still and was a feather plucker.

The second was bought from the breeder - parent reared but hand tamed, beautiful nature, loves a scratch and is very affectionate.

Rainbow lorikeet, hand reared - Much like a monkey with feathers.

Olive one is a musk X scaley-breasted lorikeet - bit nippy, very defensive of his mate (purebred scaley-breasted) which is why I couldn't get a decent photo of the scaley - he kept running interference and blocking the camera much like a security guard for a celebrity.

Got a better camera now so will get around to getting better photos soon.

Those are some very beautifull birds im really gona have to get one, any advice on a good beginers bird that doesnt need a vast cage.

Love birds arent to be kept in pairs.....Unless already established. Mean birds to keep IMO

I dont know much about them but surprised to read this just assumed they got along. We have wild love birds in area they seem to move about in flock .

Would have never thought that 2 in cage would fight
