Bird keepers?

I am more of a watcher than a bird owner. I really appreciate watching them in the wild. They have taught me a lot about life while recovering from multiple strokes. I can't stand to see any of them caged up but I certainly don't go around setting them loose or denigrating those that choose to keep them.
As long as the keeper is informed and can truly "care" for the bird i love the hobby of bird keeping! These birds are just as happy as those in the wild! They just require the time, patience and love of a true companion!
I used to have a sun conure. Coolest bird ever. He would stay on my shoulder while driving on the highway with the window down. Very playful but really loud when he needed attention. He would also sit on my pit bulls when I wasnt home which used to scare me! LOL! He was 12 years old. I hope to get another or a blue and gold macaw.
I've always loved suns! Another bird at my store i considered a sweetie but no one else liked! But yes they are totally loud! LOL!

yes he talks,we never know if it was him or one of us that spoke.when my sister comes over he calls her in my voice, & she gets irritated. Unfortunately he loves to imitate bottle rockets to the T, so we always say a little prayer before the 4th. And also hope that no cars w/ loose belts go by. One day we had electricians here working & he kept on makin the nextell noise & they kept checking their phones,they finally caught on, pretty funny when he messes w/ other people.
