Pics of the ones you have now please

My Flower Horn killed them all. I have not got any Payara at the moment.

I purchased 4 Payara today and am going to post pictures when they are a bit older. Only about 4 inches right now. I moved the Flower Horn to another tank.

i have been thinking about schooling payara with silver aro and it would be wicked but i dont think its doable and i hope someone prove me wrong with fact not what "i heard".

If the Payara are big enough it is "doable". I had two Payara with a Silver Arowana that lasted a couple of years. Mainly the only reason it did not work out was because of an overly aggressive Flower Horn.

The Vancover B.C. Aquarium has a community tank that has Angel Fish, Discus and Payara.

is it really payara not some "saber tooth" tetra?
i should try it but i am nervous of killing my aro LOL, payara can eat fish almost as bis as itself and it grows just as big as the silver aro if not bigger

Correct me if I'm wrong. Their are 3-4 species of Payara. One grow pretty big (15lbs plus) and a very similar kind that maxs out around 18 inches. The ones I have got are the ones that grow to 18 inches not the big ones. I have got to check the Payara section for species names.

The big ones are Armatus. That's not the kind I have got.

GET RID OF THE FLOWERHORN! all other fish u want are much more appealing.. (to me)

i think you will be more successful with the arowanas if you introduce them at a young age so they dont fight because adding full grown aros are harder
