Along with that I think when/if I do decide to try them again I know for next time that they MUST be a good size larger than any rays in the tank. Over 3/4 of the Armatus I lost were due to rays killing them.....

I'm interested to see if one of these Black Tigers STAY black in a tank.... Or if they are like "Blue" Motoros that quickly loose thier color when taken from thier natural enviroment.

i want to try what cohazard said.
try keeping a GATF in blackwater conditions and see how it turns out...
too bad i dont have the tank space.
but im sure alot of you guys out there do.:naughty:
 
Wow, I never opened this thread because it is way out of my league. After reading it just now I hope you obtain your dream. The only help I can offer (which is probably silly) is maybe men like Tred Barta or Larry Dahlburg could help. Good Luck Koop.

Look through the whole thread bud, there are several pictures posted of these black GATF from a book covering the species.

I am pretty sure he was refering to the post by ultimatejay about the fish turning black after being out of the water and dead. He fishs alot like myself and knows better. I laughed when i first read it as well.
 
any luck on buying that black fish?
