actually i still would be laughing if i had that kind of extra cash. i would invest that money, make profit, give some to charity, and then put the rest in a retirement plan. thats what i would do anyways, and i can think its funny if i want, so get over it:thumbsup:

I dont know if you can even get the book anymore. Ive talked to Dann on the phone once. This was back when we where all grasping at straws in re: identifying a real gatf from the other atf's. My friench isnt so good and neither was his english. But we did talk for a few and realized it would be better for his daughter to come on the phone to interpret. We ended up looking at dozens of pics atfs together, which i sent him via email. I was looking to him, to tell me if these juveniles where gatf. Wanting to hear a bunch of yays, I ended up hearing all nays. Until i got my first gatf 1 year later. I forwarded him a pic of a very differant one, to which he said to me "you got one". At the end of the day its Douglass Dann himself who gets all the credit for making the BGATF world famous. The pics of the black goliath that he caught and posted in his book. Has gone around the world via the net. And has caused some including myself to day dream, that perhaps one day. I might be so lucky as to see a real one with my own eyes. Or even better yet own one!
 
Everyone just give him a break. If he feels he can purchase this fish and still take care of his family its not for you to judge if he can or cant. I have a couple fish in mind just like this where if i had the money i would just say go find me one. I hope you find it, it looks like a straight monster! Good luck with being a dad too

Thats just rude wasn't Neo's plat barramundi like 30k. So why try and flame Koop for wanting this awesome fish its his money and investment so more power to him. Good luck Koop and when you find this guy post tons of pics!
