I've never heard of black jacks, I have some that are dark colored but I never refer to the as black jacks. I don't think they are real ha ha
 
My jd used to be that dark all the time until I moved him to a less stressful environment and now hes just a normal great looking jd.
 
lol this is somewhat funny. You thought you had a black jack but then you find out it's just stressed to hell. =p I had no idea that stress caused them to go black either. I thought you really had a natural black jack lol

Personally I think he is naturally a really dark/black Jack

He has always been this color. 3 months I have had him and he has not changed from this color

Infact I have another Jack in the same tank with this one and that one is constantly being chased by this one and it is a very light color.?????
