Black Rays with white spots - Average Price

I'd also like to know this as well. Furthermore, as stated above I am Canadian and I do know about H20 Aquatics in N.Y. which seems to be good. Are there any good importers in Canada that have good quality black rays (specifically Henlei or Leopoldi)?

Lots of people selling Black rays in Canada. Check out Calgary Kijiji, exotic aquaria in B.C. ,Belowwater in Montreal ,Canadian aquatics in B.C. Even the pet stores in Alberta are selling Black rays. It will save you lots of money buying within Canada. Not too much longer and even I will be selling some Henlei and classic leos! Just wait a little longer and the price will come down. The market is flooded with Black rays and the only ones I see holding their price is the highest of quality BD and the more rare least imported rays. All other Black rays will soon be going for cheaper prices.

Thank you this is good info. to know. I live in the Toronto area so I'd have to have the rays shipped. You are correct it's cheaper to have the ray shipped within Canada rather than shipping from the states. Oliver-Below Water hasn't had any rays on his most recent lists though. I'll be setting up a bigger tank in the Spring. Thanks in advance.

I wish the prices of black rays over here would drop too... sadly, only Motoro are cheap... almost too cheap...

lots of good quality black rays available in north america now. just depends how much one is willing to pay. leos and bdleos hold little no value now a days in canada. black diamonds are still on top of the price list everywhere. doesn't matter which end of the spectrum one decides to purchase as long as they are happy with their ray.

So no one has chimed on about the price falling the last few years? Most important is that is it seasonal.for wild caught ? Sure people pay for nice rays but in general?

Ya if you want to buy a Leo that is claimed to be a "Thousand Island" with no proof. Hard to tell on a 5" ray if they will be TI leos or not. And with a 2g price tag I would pass in a heartbeat. Besides you want an AMAZING BD talk to exotic aquaria he has a perfect male for sale and well worth the price!

Pisces in Calgary has about 5 Black rays in stock. They came from shine aquatics.

Calgary has Riverfront that always has a variety of rays for sale. While I appreciate the LFS, you can get a better deal from private breeders. Once you get to know some of them you will see that their quality is better since they love the fish they breed. If you want help finding something let me know I would love to help.

Wow any local vendors in Alberta?

Can't tell on any ray at 5", unless you know with out a doubt who the parents are and that still doesn't mean the pups will turn out the same. Sometimes you may just have to take a persons word for how a ray will turn out. Lots of people are paying $1800 for rays. I know the manager and would definitely not have to pay 2g for one of those rays. Someone will eventually scoop them up.
