Black Rhom

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
yeah the diamond r pretty bad ass. would just be nice to @least be able to have maybe 3 fish without a bloody ass war breaking out. the tank layout i have in mind will provide plenty of hiding spots and personal "territory" for about 3 full grown fish i would think.

either something like this http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PhMq62zx4yc&feature=related

or something more like this http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=P2md9tSFTBo&feature=related . i leaning on this one the most. would be more "homie" for pirahna and its just amazing looking

Serras must be kept alone, you cant house them with other serra's even if the tank is 220gal. There will be war and the fish will be under constant stress.
Rhoms only grow 1/2in a yr so good luck with that, it will take 10yrs to get a 5incher to 10in.
neons and other dithers will disapear unless you go with a monster 13in+ rhom.

Hell even known pack piranha will attack n eat each other. Its a gamble with piranha sometimes it works, sometimes it don't.

arrow i love the fish in ur avatar. wtf is that? an albino rhom or something?
1/2" a year? holy ****. i guess thats why a nice 15" rhom costs $700 from what ive seen. i refuse to pay that for a fish. ever. unless it ****s gold coins daily, then we'll talk.

ok so rhom, no matter what have to be kept alone.
pike no matter what have to be kept alone.

what about the manulii or however its spelt? is it a loner also?

nice avatar bruner. that a tattoo u actually have?
yeah i figued ****s gonna hit the fan @ some point. thats why im thinkin NO MORE than 3-4 fish total.
i guess we all have a vision of ultimate predators just chillen together that never gonna work. but how ****in hot would a tank be with a big ass rhom or 2, a couple nice size mani's. little neons swimmin around - couple bright colored crayfish for keep the bottom company.

all serramalus species need to be kept alone except geryi and maculatus that sometimes you could keep multiple ones together, so yes maneuli needs to be kept by itself.
purple diamond is just a fancy name so vendor can sell them at a higher price, same goes with other "colored" diamonds.
different light, angle, substrate, background will have different effect on the same fish.
This is the same fish with different lighting.
