Black Sand?

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
Wow that is a very washed out endli.. I had two in a black tub that maintained their color with the black plastic bottom. Strange

Definitely! I can't wait to see the albinos on black sand

They'll look amazing! So far, I've noticed that the LJ bichirs don't look very good on black sand but the UJ look amazing!

With only a 180g I can probably only keep lower jaws, unfortunately

+1 my 135 is 6'x18" and I kept mainly LJ bichirs. My largest was 18" though so if I had any bigger than that, I would've gone out for a tank with a better footprint

If you wanted to you could probably keep both, but for looks I would only recommend Upper Jaws as they look better on black sand

I love lower jaws but sometimes my Ornates and Endlis would nip other bottom dwellers. Actually One evening, my buddy screamed from the fish room and I run in to find my largest Endlicheri taking a wild ride around the tank attached on my 20" catfish's Barbel refusing to let go

I have a 72" x 24" footprint. But I have some smaller loaches and syn catfish.. The colorful fish to keep 'everybody' happy

Where did you get that background?

I would like to buy one.

I believe I've seen them on DrsFS

I use black sand, paint the back black. Live plants, real wood... Looks great and fish colour up... This was a 3 dollar chain store jack... turned into something real nice with good water and food.
