over time, it probably will stunt its growth not too much, but it will stunt it. just get rid of it as soon as you can.

You could slow it down a bit, but they are one of the biggest FW fish on the planet so it will still grow amazingly quick. I would love to keep it as long as possible aswell, but there will be very few people capable of housing one AND wanting one, so I would start looking now.
well theres already people sending my PMs saying that when it gets to big for my tank theyll take it for their pond so I dont think it would be to hard to find a home for it
Ok another question what should I feed it if I do keep it for a couple months? rosy reds, shrimp, market fish?
well, feed it pellets because they have balanced nutrition, or you could feed it market shrimp or silversides too.
stay away from feeders. they often carry internal parasites that can be quite detrimental to a fish's well being.
