omg for gawd sakes black and blue are same species and ppl usually call baby blacks and subadults and adults blue ok? gawd

Umm, I already knew that they were the same species.

The thing I want to know is whether Osteoglossum Ferreirai's blue specimens are naturally occuring (Or captive bred) color variants as with how Motoro Stingrays have different colorings and patterning in different areas.

blacks develop blue as they grow

I have never seen a pic showing different enough colouration to be considered anything more than natural variation. Different lighting, diet, surroundings and origins will all effect the colouration of the fish to a degree, so IMO blue and black are exactly the same thing.
