Blue Ring Octopus...in a 125+G

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
that's maddness... I want one...but they're too rare too get. I love the yellow boxfish :)

I've kept a few different types of octopus in the past including the blue ring. They dont ship well and can be delicate.I got my blue ring years ago when I used to work in a store and I got the owner to order me one. They wont bring in anymore because of the legal problems that could result from someone being bitten by one that they sold to a customer.I dont know if any laws are in place regarding the keeping of theese animals but other octos are just as cool and a whole helluva lot safer to keep.

NOW THAT IS TEMPTING!! how had are they to keep i wonder?

They are not hard to keep,if you know to keep a salt tank and the importance of the water parameters then you could do it.

WAY TOO TEMPTING!!!!! hmmmmmmmmmm, might get one. anybody know of any reputable sites to get them off of? or if that site is good?

I tried to deal with Thepetstop when I was still into ocos as they always seem to have a good looking stocklist with good prices but I could never get through when I called their number.

I realize how beautiful the blue ring is and all but there are other octopus that you could look into that are more hardy and outgoing.I think that the octopus is the most awesome aquatic pet and I truly miss having one but there is no need to put yourself at risk for the sake of having one.
