Does a MFK member have to die before people realize how dangerous this creature is?

This isn't some relatively safer cobra, scorpion, stingray, stonefish or rattler snake that at least looks dangerous.

A few people here in Singapore have already died from handling this innocuous octopus. 5 mins and you are dead. No cure, no chance. It's a fatality waiting to happen.

Octopus are superb escape artist. What are the chances of a kid NOT picking up a cute little blue animal if it crawls outside? :irked:

As far as I am concerned anybody keeping the creature which gets someone killed,(even a small kid who does not know better) ought to be charged with murder.

not even gonna justifie that with a responce. know what ur doin and dont be a f'in moron and there wont be an issue.

Owning venomous animal's is not an issue as long as people take responsible actions to take care of the animal. But most importantly protect people from gaining access to it especially young one's. That is why only professional's should attempt any species like a blue ring octopus.

wouldnt say professionals, just have to be capable.

:iagree:

I only say pro's for the reason that most people regardless will say there capable and BS there self's into something they can't handle. But with proper regulation's on dangerous species there would be no worries. I do have a blue ring octopus setup but not the blue ring yet only cause I setup a tank in order to patent a product. Not for intent on supporting or backing the selling of blue ringed octopus.

i understand. Any pics of ur setup?

Buy this animal at your own risk. MY friend who has worked at a LFS for years has had 2 of these magnificent animals and hes still alive so if you want one know the need and take the safety precautions.
