The first thing I did with my groups of Amazon puffers was treat prazi pro to ensure any initial worms are dead. I’m now treating metroplex because months later, one is showing signs of parasites (getting abnormally thin compared to the others yet eating just as much).
What do you suggest I treat with? That fish is beautiful

This is your first wild aquarium fish right? Internal Worm parasites take time to show any issues in fish. It could take months for you to notice symptoms, and by then the parasites are so prolific in the fish that not only do you have to deworm, but also treat for secondary bacterial infections.
No I’ve kept wild caught puffers, and redtail catfish and never had any problems

Hikari Prazipro will get some internal parasites. Metroplex will get rid of a different set of internal parasites. Levamisole HCL (found in Fritz-Paracleanse) will get rid of round worms.

Like I said the issues take many months to show up, sometimes even a year. When they are imported, not all fish stores treat for internalparasites or deworm their fish.

The store I got this one from does treat them. When I sold my fish to them they put them all in a giant 210g quarantine tank

What medication are the quarantine fish treated with? There's at least 3 different internal parasite medications. Not all fish are treated when in quarantine, some are just observed for 1-2weeks, which isn't always enough time to find internal parasites.

Not sure what they treat with or if they treat it but out of all the fish they had there none of them had any type of disease or anything that I could notice and trust me I was there for an hour looking at them all lol I’m pretty confident that the fish is healthy

You just said they're all treated. Are they treated or not?

You missed the part of internal parasites not showing issues (from the infected fish) after being in the owner's aquarium for months.
