dude, i've never seen someone more wrong than you.

you clearly don't know what "flashy" means which is why i gave you a bunch of different links to a bunch of different dictionaries!!! READ THE DEFINITIONS. :screwy::duh:

i know what wilds look like, i've seen rapps' web site, YOU'RE STILL DEAD WRONG, and everyone knows this except for you!

are you "finished" now that you've made a complete fool of yourself? very convenient for you! :footinmou
lmao is someone getting upset? Let's take a step back and review what we are arguing about: the color of a fish. Are you really going to get that pissed over something so insignificant (seems pretty foolish to me ;))? The only thing I don't understand here, is why you would think that I am so ignorant that I can't comprehend the proper use of the word "flashy..."

And yes, I had planned on being finished, but obviously that didn't exactly work out. :grinno:

Yeah, I have a hard time believing those are actually that color anyway. It looks to me like the red coloration is 90% special lighting, 5% natural coloration, and 5% color enhancing food and/or chemicals...

no, why would i be upset that you don't know a simple english term? i would only be upset if i were you, desperately trying to make your argument, whatever that may be.

Let's take a step back and review what we are arguing about: the color of a fish. Are you really going to get that pissed over something so insignificant (seems pretty foolish to me ;))?

ok, let's take a step back...

we're not arguing at all; i'm telling you a fact and you don't want to recognize it. we don't disagree over "the color of a fish", you seem to think that flashy means something other than what is written in the dictionaries. ignoring the definitions in multiple dictionaries seems pretty foolish to me ;).

The only thing I don't understand here, is why you would think that I am so ignorant that I can't comprehend the proper use of the word "flashy..."

i know that you don't know what "the proper use of the word flashy" is because you are trying to use it in the wrong context... then you have the brass to question my correct usage of the term!!

you think (for some unknown reason) that flashy means only "more colorful" or "exotically patterned", when in fact, it's a more complex word than that. flashy implies that something is obnoxious, gaudy, excessive or "in bad taste". if you wouldn't use those words to describe the wild type oscars, then you wouldn't use the word flashy (which implies these other words, by definition) either.

i am amazed that this needs to be explained to you, or any human being, in such detail. not just that, but you need to have it explained to you over and over again, as if the information will only stick if it's pounded into you.

And yes, I had planned on being finished, but obviously that didn't exactly work out. :grinno:

fantastic. even though you can't stand by your word, at least you came back to learn something instead of running away from a discussion.

Wow, I can't even talk to you. No matter what I say or how I say it, you will still have some kind of smart*ssed response. I'm beginning to wonder if I'm talking to a 12 year old...

If you think you are not upset, then ask around, I'm sure you'll soon find out that you're in complete denial. :grinno: As for the meaning of "flashy," thank you for trying, but I'm 99.9% sure that you are already aware that I know that, and the only purpose of that was to somehow boost your ego by attempting to make me look stupid. Nice try, but that doesn't really work outside of grade school. ;)

Oh and btw, the term "flashy," is not always used with a negative connotation, as you implied in your "enlightened," deinition.

really, you have nothing to say, so in a desperate attempt to save face and change the conversation (which you've clearly lost), you're going to call my age into question! as if my age has anything to do with the topic at hand. it's pathetic and dishonest to try to poison the argument with age prejudice... and you think i'm the one acting childish?

If you think you are not upset, then ask around, I'm sure you'll soon find out that you're in complete denial. :grinno:

i don't need to ask other people how "i" feel because i'm the only one who can ever know how "i" feel. don't reflect your emotions onto me. if i was upset i'd be acting like you.

i have nothing to be upset about, i am entirely right and you are dead wrong. this clearly upsets you.

As for the meaning of "flashy," thank you for trying, but I'm 99.9% sure that you are already aware that I know that,

if you knew what it meant, you wouldn't have questioned the way i used it.

but since you did question my usage, i have to assume that you didn't know what it meant.

and the only purpose of that was to somehow boost your ego by attempting to make me look stupid.

i'm not trying to make you look stupid. if you look stupid it's because you made yourself look stupid! i had nothing to do with it.

i'm not here to boost my ego either, im trying to let it be known to all that my usage of the word "flashy" was correct. we wouldn't even be having this conversation if you never challenged me. :screwy:

Nice try, but that doesn't really work outside of grade school. ;)

more empty, irrelevant, desperate and baseless insults? grow up dude.

Oh and btw, the term "flashy," is not always used with a negative connotation, as you implied in your "enlightened," deinition.

it's almost always, if not 100% of the time (except for when you use it), used in the way that i used it (with negative connotations).

i'm having a very hard time finding any dictionary definition of flashy that doesn't include some form of negative connotation with the word! do you have any links to the contrary? because i provided several to make my case.

the way you're trying to use it is almost never done. and when it is used in your way, it seems like a bad use of the word because of the negative connotations that are almost always associated with the word.

now... you admit that you knew what the word means... and that the word is commonly (or even "sometimes") used with negative connotations... so why would you even think to question it?

*sigh* How stupid are you? I seriously just can't manage to understand how you could possibly still think that I am that invested into this arguement. If you haven't noticed, I haven't even been reading your entire posts the last few times (hence why I haven't been fully responding them). I have better things to do with my time than waste it reading an entire page of nonsense about what some kid thinks about my level of intelligence and ego.

P.S. I am not trying to "save face," as far as I'm concerned my face is still perfectly intact, but thanks for your concern. ;)

how stupid am i???

how stupid are you? i never even made a guess as to how "invested into this argument" you were, because i don't care.

take a look at yourself, you've been reduced to making stuff up and hurling insults. wouldn't it just be easier to admit to yourself that you were wrong?

If you haven't noticed, I haven't even been reading your entire posts the last few times (hence why I haven't been fully responding them).

this is the saddest excuse i've ever heard. :(

you haven't been fully responding to my posts because you can't, not without admitting that you were wrong.

no you don't.

and what's with the "kid" thing?

would it make you feel better if a "kid" made you look like a complete idiot??? is that why you keep calling me a kid?

but who am i to judge, think whatever you want if it makes you feel good about yourself.

P.S. I am not trying to "save face," as far as I'm concerned my face is still perfectly intact, but thanks for your concern. ;)

...:ROFL:as far as you (and only you) are concerned.

another post full of nothing but insults while completely avoiding the fact that you were undeniably wrong. exactly what i expected! :)

are you done dancing around the truth yet... or do you want to try having more insults backfire in your face?
