it is true its dna from jellyfish. and they are not sterile because they state the originals were altered long ago and all the ones available today are offspring from the original so its a bunch of inbred glow in the dark freaks of nature that most people find "cool!" or "cute!"
as to the OP blue oscars are dyed and sometimes tattooed and very inhumane as previously said. its sad that your local fish stores would support such a horrible market. none of mine would go near it.most people around here have never even heard of dyed or tattooed fish. thats horrible too. picture what
peta or other animal groups would do if people was shaving dogs and tattooing patterns onto them. thats basically what they are doing to these fish.
