I dont want to offend, but some people take a dog. A big dog.
Or decide 'together' to take (or make, as you wish), a child.
Never capable of overseeing uncoming problems.
And if someone wants a boa constrictor, people say:
'Oh, thats no beginner snake!"
(Bottomfeeder, this is not regarded to you, you said: go for it!).
I also say, good choice, or when its been offered to you, good decision!
Theres much to learn about your new pet.
Is it an Imperator or a Redtail?
Im never sure, if I say something rediculous, please step in.
As said nice humid, around 70-80%, and a cooler side 25-29 celcius, and
a warmer side 30-35 celcius. At night never below 22 celcius.
Just not tropic enough.
And a big bowl, about 5g minimum. The snake should be able to submerge.
Dont fill it up, just half full. You know why.
No uvB, but uvA makes the little herp happy.
I use a spotlight for heating and the uvA.
Feed frozen mice/rats which are slightly thicker then the snakes body.
If you feed too much, your boa will regurgetate or simply not eat.
Once every six days a very small rat, I'd say, when your boa is still 60 cm.
I use beechwood for my boa, but I also use fir bark and cypress mulch.
No further hassies, just keep feeding TLC.
